For YouTube videos, the process is similar but often simpler than using the Custom HTML Element (See embedding documents). In the Weebly bar there is a pre-built YouTube Element*. Simply dragging it to the stage and pasting in the URL of the YouTube video you wish to share (relevant to your lesson or otherwise) will embed the YouTube video itself.
*Just like Scribd, the code involved uses a container linked to the hosting service (Scribd, YouTube, Prezi, etc.) and does not need the original file on Weebly itself. NOTE - Altering, restricting or removing the file at the hosting service automatically results in changes or loss of the file here. Embedding a movie directly to Weebly requires the Pro version.
Challenge 1: Use what you have learned about uploading documents to Scribd to upload a movie file to YouTube. Students of Technology For Teachers should edit their video lesson to be no less than 3 minutes and no more than 5.
Tip: In the YouTube upload process, do not make your movies private. If you do not wish for them to be public, make them unlisted.
